Every once in a while, you finish a book and simply move on to the next one.
Then there are the stories that quietly become part of you.
For me, the Throne of Glass series has been one of those stories.
As I’ve worked my way toward Kingdom of Ash, I’ve found myself thinking less about the plot twists and more about the people I’ve spent thousands of pages with. Somewhere along the way, they stopped feeling like fictional characters and started feeling like old friends whose victories mattered and whose losses hurt.
That’s the magic of a truly great series.
It’s never just about the adventure.
It’s about the people.
One of the things I love most about this series is that no one succeeds alone. Every character carries wounds, fears, regrets, and impossible choices. Yet over and over again, they choose courage anyway.
Not because they’re fearless.

Sacrifice.
Hope.
The world Sarah J. Maas created is expansive, but what has stayed with me most are the quieter moments. The conversations around campfires. The unwavering loyalty between friends. The reminder that even the strongest people need others beside them.
As someone who loves stories about resilience, healing, and finding purpose after hardship, it’s easy to see why this series resonated with me.
It reminds us that strength doesn’t always look like winning a battle.
Sometimes strength is surviving one more day.
Sometimes it’s choosing kindness after heartbreak.
Sometimes it’s believing tomorrow is worth fighting for when today feels impossible.
Without spoiling Kingdom of Ash for anyone still making their way through the series, I’ll simply say this:
Few stories have made me feel the full spectrum of emotions the way this one has.
Joy.
Heartbreak.
Hope.
Grief.
Triumph.
Gratitude.
That’s what great storytelling does.
It doesn’t just entertain us.
It changes us.
As I close the final chapters, I’m realizing this series won’t really be ending for me.
It will become one of those worlds I revisit years from now, recommending it to friends, rereading favorite scenes, and remembering how it made me feel the first time through.
Some books fill a weekend.
Others find a permanent place on your bookshelf—and in your heart.
For me, Throne of Glass has absolutely earned that place.
